Ordering & Shipping

How fast will my football ship?

Single prepped footballs ship within 3 business days, and you'll get a tracking number within 24 hours of your order. 6- and 12-ball team packs usually ship within 3 business days and never take more than 5. Custom Color GSTs may take up to 2 weeks.

What are the shipping options?

You choose at checkout: USPS Ground Advantage $10 (1–5 business days), Priority Mail $15 (2–3 business days), or Priority Mail Express $60 (overnight). The cost is shown before you pay, with no surprise charges afterward.

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payments are processed by Square, so your card details go straight to Square and never touch our site.

Do you sell team packs or bulk orders?

Yes. We offer 6-ball and 12-ball Wilson GST packs, plus Omega packs. Every ball in a pack gets the same full hand prep as a single. Need a different quantity or youth sizes? Request a team quote. Larger custom orders come with a committed delivery date before you pay.

Our Guarantee, Returns & Problems

What is the Game-Ready Guarantee?

Every ball is grip-tested by hand before it ships. If something is genuinely wrong with the prep when it arrives, like inconsistent texture or not what was described, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll re-prep it, replace it, or refund it.

What if my ball arrives damaged?

Take a photo of the ball and the packaging and contact us within 7 days of delivery. We'll make it right with a replacement or a refund.

What if my package is lost?

If tracking shows it as lost, contact us and we'll handle the carrier claim. You won't be left chasing it alone.

Can I return a ball?

Unused balls in original condition can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund of the purchase price. Return shipping is on the buyer, and please contact us first. Because each ball is custom-finished by hand, we can't take back balls that have been thrown, kicked, or taken outside. See the full policy.

The Prep

What does "prepped" actually mean?

We strip the slick factory wax, work authentic Lena Blackburne rubbing mud into every panel, brush it in with a horsehair brush, condition the leather with Wilson conditioner, and seal it with a Wilson wax bar. Then every ball gets a hand grip test. Read more in Name-Brand Materials Only.

Who preps the footballs?

Sam does, by hand, one ball at a time. Sam is a quarterback who started out prepping personal game balls and now preps them for other players too. Meet Sam.

Will the prep hurt or dry out the leather?

No. The conditioner we use puts back the oils the mud step pulls out and preserves the leather, so it stays soft instead of drying out.

Which ball should I get?

For most quarterbacks we recommend the Wilson GST. For a pro-style ball, The Duke is the official NFL game ball. See Best Footballs for Quarterbacks for a full comparison.

What size football does my kid need?

As a general guide: official size for ages 14 and up, junior for about 12–14, and youth for about 9–12. Your league's rules come first. See our football size guide by age.

Can I send in my own football to be prepped?

Yes. Contact us first and we'll give you the price and turnaround before you send anything. Prep improves grip and feel, but it can't repair damage or turn a composite ball into leather. See the send-in policy for details.

How do I keep my ball feeling game-ready?

Store it indoors at room temperature, let it air dry if it gets wet (never use heat), and skip household cleaners. Full tips are in How to Care for Your Prepped Football.
